Indexed Universal Life (IUL) current Cap Rates
Cap rate: The maximum growth rate percentage of interest credited to a policy regardless how well the index performs. For example, if a policy the underlying segment growth rate is 13% and the cap rate is 10%, the policy will receive a credit based on the cap rate of 10%. An Indexed Universal Life (IUL) minimum credited rate will never be less than 0% interest even if the segment growth rate was negative.
The cap rate is non-guaranteed and can be changed at the company’s discretion.
